Thank you for saying that; my thoughts exactly. I rented it this last weekend, and thought it played like bad SNL sketch; an Italian soap-opera that took itself very seriously, with an improbably bad storyline, and wooden, and/or, in Tilda Swinton's case (and I'm a fan of hers)intensely overwrought performances. The scene, if you are familiar, post-funeral, when she admits to her husband of her "love" and infidelity with Edouardo, and he dramatically tells her in Italian, "Tomorrow, you leave!", had me laughing. Then, the day afterwards, at home, she runs like an hysterical banshee through the house, and feverishly has the housekeeper help her pack before making her final escape to her lover - awaiting her in a secluded cave, no less. Nevermind that she's just lost her son. Oh brother! Che tripa! So glad I didn't go to see it in the movies and listen to all the hype. To be avoided at all costs!
