Honestly, whether you like him or not he's totally a person that reeks of charisma.
He looks like the quintessential rock star too.
Perfectly cast.
If you don't like him than be brave enough to just say that.

This has to be one of the dumbest statements I've read on here in quite a while.
I don't like his so-called acting. Whether I like him is totally irrelevant to the issue. All of his roles are the same. Just Brand being Brand. Aside from having no range he is just not convincing. When he can portray a role that convinces me he is someone other than Russell Brand then he can be considered an actor. Until then my statement stands.

I'm not a fan of his as a comedian, but I think he oozes charisma, looks like a rock star, and brings the kind of artistic neuroses that make him perfect for the part.
I think he was brilliantly cast.

To me Russell Brand doesn't make a convincing actor,but a 1000% a convincing rock star he has it all when playing a rock star extremely charismatic,looks dirty & sleazy like a rock star and is great in this & the Sarah Marshall movie as Aldos Snow.

And Lars Ulrich does? The character he plays, Aldous Snow, IS a rock star. I think he is very convincing in that role. Have you met many rock stars?
