I'd fire Mary
It's not a difficult decision. She constantly refuses to do her job on the basis of "Well they're not doing their job!"
And after the safety incident, she'd be out the door.

Agree. She's terrible! But so funny in an irritating way.
shareI enjoyed her. Beth Grant is such a great actress, and her character is funny to me as an outsider. But if I was her boss or coworker, I'd want her gone as quickly as possible. Step telling her off at the end was all the more worthwhile because she wasn't fired, I suppose.
shareStep probably fired her eventually if he had the power! Lol!

Anyone would have. He just doesn't do it because the film wants to keep her in it. In real Life she would have had a serious warning after that first time she caused chaos and then gotten fired after the incident that led to Step losing his ball. Not even in the most worker protective countries in the world could there have been a defence for her getting to stay.
