Ben Affleck Ruined It...

...one of the worst guys they could have cast to play Dean. The problem with him is that he's just too clean to play the part. He's not believable as a hard-partying bar tender who can set up gigolo's at the flick of the wrist. Compare him to Diedrich Bader as Lawrence in Office Space, with his seamless portrayal as an untethered laborer, and you'll see the difference.

Really? He was barely in the film, same for Mila. If anything I thought he was underused.

I agree. I liked the small part Ben played. Thought he did it well.

He was perfect as an "entrepreneur, healer, spiritualist."

totally agree . he was hilarious in this

I have to disagree. Before seeing the movie I wouldnt not have thought he could pull it off so well but after seeing it I thought he was hilarious. He was actually one of my favorite things about this movie witch surprised me.

I can't say that I am a huge Ben fan but in this he really surprised me.
I thought he had good timing and bounced off Jason Bateman perfectly.

the only thing that irked me a little was the hair lol.

Disagree, I think he nailed the part. I love the ending where he bails on Jason Bateman after forcing him over to the guys house to smoke pot...

reply

I don't think he's meant to be believable; he's meant to be bad at it, which is why it all goes wrong...

I've never been an Affleck fan, but I thought he was fine here.

What? Affleck was the best part. His delivery was perfect and he stole every scene he was in. Move on from the affleck hate.
