I know a lot of people don't like this series but we're all different and my god doesn't it make a change from so-called reality shows?
You do really need to suspend your disbelief regarding the unusual story, the same as you had to do Life On Mars and the follow up series. It's a bit of fun!
I'd like to know what others think about my observation. No big deal, but the lead female who has the mans brain, in the first episode she was walking like a man in high heels and generally acting male. Fair enough. So why didn't the male lead with the womans brain act female?
We haven't seen that much of Veronica in Danny's body, but the difference between a man acting like a woman and a woman acting like a man is much more subtle. Danny in Veronica's body has to cope with walking in high heels, wearing skirts and makeup so there's much more for him to deal with. Veronica in Danny's body isn't having to cope with these things. Plus Veronica in Danny is having a much more difficult time than Danny in Veronica. Whereas Danny in Veronica knows who he/she is, where he/she lives, works etc and has people around him/her, Veronica in Danny didn't even know her/his name until the latest episode. She/he doesn't have anywhere to live and no support.
Martin Freeman has put some wonderfully subtle elements into his performance with a slightly softer, more feminine voice and body language and Rachael Stirling is doing a great job as a man stuck in a woman's body.
Dear Buddha, please send me a pony and a plastic rocket.
Well done Wieldy couldn't have put it better myself. I really like this series, Rachael Stirling is a revelation as a great actress. The supporting cast do sterling service too (no pun intended).
There is no facility to give a "Thumbs up" or "Recommended" for your reply so I'm sending a little message instead. I wish everybody had your integrity and thoughtfulness in reply to contradiction. More power to your elbow.
