People don`t even know what Transilvania is. It is a region of Romania and none of the legends about this part of the country are based of some truth. For example the legend of Dracula - so-called inspired by the life of romanian prince Vlad Tepes. This man did not ever ruled Transilvania. He was the ruler of the southern region, called at that time `Tara Romaneasca`, also part of Romania today. There are many things needed to be told, but it is important for everybody to know that, at least...

It takes place in Ukraine and the main atagonist is a witch.

What clichés? Thats a word the wannabe critics use when they want to whinge.

Where do you get Ukraine? It clearly states RUSSIA & Czech Rep right in IMDb filming locations!! Duh?

duh! thicko!what have the locations got to do with anything. Star Wars wasn't set in London!!!

The gogol story the movie is loosely based on takes place in Ukraine. And so does the film.
