What the hell is with the low rating? People do not know how to appreciate a beautiful film...

Beautiful ?! This was a mediocre movie. The rating is quite high. It should be below 6

Looks isn't everything.
This thing basically didn't have a clear direction; what did the film makers want with this movie? Whatever it was, it got lost during production.

Shoot straight, you bastards - don't make a mess of it!

Yes, the film is nicely shot, but it takes more than that for me to rate a film highly. There wasn't much of a plot and let's face it, did anyone empathise with the main characters and really care what happened to them? The Czechs can make good war films (see Dark Blue World http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0244479/), but Tobruk isn't one of them.
