D'OH! Guys izz clueLESS! Forgot I still had the vid... you're right, it IS a lamp! You clearly see it illuminated from within, in the window display (during opening credits), and when she's carrying it home, the electric cord is flopped over the top.
... OTOH... I do NOT see anywhere it in her uber-cool condo... director flub???
The lamp was on the floor. I think she had it lit up in one evening scene.
