Lance Henriksen

Heh i hope he has the lead/good part in it, it would be fun to see him on tv.
And especially if the series is popular enough to show in Sweden! ;)

I'm watching the movie now. In case you aren't able to watch it, LH is playing the part of Florence Henderson's husband, who is dying of cancer, and he is doing a very good job in the role! He demonstrates a lot of sincere emotion without overdoing it. He plays a very sensitive and likable character, and he gets quite a lot of face time in this movie.

I looked through his filmography and saw that he was in a lot of movies that I have seen (some of them multiple times), such as "Network", "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and "The Omen", but I can't picture who his character was in any of them.

Are you a fan of his movies? Which ones did you like him in best?

In the films you mention, they definitely are small roles. In "CE3K", he does get a couple of closeups in which he looks quite young. You can see him near the end, as people are reacting to the arrival of the Mothership. Once you spot him, you'll wonder why you didn't notice him before! In "Damien: Omen II", he's at the academy and has a lengthy talk with Damien. He doesn't look like the Lance we're accustomed to, so I can understand why people don't remember him. I don't recall where he shows up in "Network".

By the way, I just watched "Ladies of the House", and he's the best one in the film!

I agree -- he was fabulous! Thanks for bringing him to my attention. I'll certainly be watching for him next time I watch the movies we talked about!

Ok thanks for the info, ill try to see this film if i can.
I try to see as many Lance films as i can, i met him at the Scandinavian Sci Fi Convention, and passed on a note to him.
I had done video-editing, it all started randomly some years ago an i made alot of LH stuff, and this woman contacted me, and she liked my work and mentioned Lance alot, because she knows him she said.
ANd at the convention he knew who i ment, so i fel so useful there, not like an average fan so it was perfect. :D
I'll remember it, i hope he can come back, so i can talk longer and deeper. :)

Lance has a good, sensitive part in this movie; when I watch his scenes I feel as though there is more story than this movie is able to tell, but it doesn't look like it was based on a book? He's a fine actor.

I have this movie set up to record much later tonight. I had come here to check the users' rating - I am looking forward to watching it.

I have always enjoyed Lance H's roles - even when the character creeped me out. I clicked on his filmography and was blown away by all his movie roles - he has a healthy number of recent roles - 15+ released since 2010 - 6 completed or post production in 2011 - as well as a rumored 2012 pre-production role. He has been very busy!

I see he has also been busy with TV roles (1 recently completed movie and 2 voice roles slated for 2012). I loved the 1996-99 series Millennium - Chris Carter's dark series that followed his initial and wildly successful The X Files. Perhaps those interested in seeing more of Lance can locate copies of Millennium on DVD / VHS and curl up for a marathon? I was so very disappointed when it ended...canceled after just 3 seasons. :(
