Perfect Movie and the end explains it all - SPOILERS

To explain the last scene with words. Maja and David are sitting at this pool, without Leonie their daughter. Leonie is in another (better) world. All what both have tried to do, they sit there with empty hands.

Is it Science Fiction or Fantasy or crime? During the movie, Yes. But there is this ending. I think, it is simply a movie, a drama about a man, who tries everything to come over his loss or to make it unhappened. But nothing really works. Maja comes later and comes to the same result. They let her go. And they closed the door. At the end, nothing has helped. They are with empty hands. But I think, they have learned something for them.

This is one of the best endings of a movie, for quite a long time. Because there is no happy end, but still there (possibly) is.

I answer here. I think you take everything what happens to serious. Sounds stupid, but lets think about it for a moment. There happens something terrible to them. He thinks, what would I give for a door to get back and solve all. That's not so far away from a mind. But things are not that easy. You go back, but there is the other You. What will happen. So what he is doing, he really thinks this idea through with all problems and he runs from one problem to the other.

For me big parts of the movie are a dream sequence, without seperating the dream sequence with markings to the audience. The film is telling us, it WILL not work. And that's it, they are back at the end and both understand, they have to live with it.
