OK, will someone explain the ending?(Spoilers)(I know it sounds silly)

I played Fall of Man when it came out in 06 and really enjoyed it. Then when #2 came out I rented and didn't get to finish it because my PS3 got the yellow rings of death and I have yet to get a new one.

Anyways I read the ending today and did they REALLY kill off Hale? I mean is there anyway he could live? It's just hard for me to believe that they actually killed off the main character from the first two games.

In the third game the playable character will be Capelli. Yes they did really kill hale. But Hale may show up, even if its as a fully transformed Chimera.

Capelli is the guy that killed Hale, right?

Besides that, thanks for clearing that up. I just wanted to make sure I read what I read right.

Yes he killed Hale at the end of the game because Hale finally succumbed to the Chimeran virus. Capelli is the main character in Resistance 3. Although Insomniac haven't mentioned Hale so far in relation to Resistance 3, it wouldn't surprise me if he turns up in some form or other....
