As in, the singer? She sang the theme for Step Up and her debut album is (hopefully) coming out later this year. Could this be her acting debut, too?

Yes, this will indeed be Samantha Jade's acting debut.

Hope this movie turns out to be decent, but not getting my hopes up just yet.
