Not a Movie. Its a web series.

I thought the pacing was weird, then when it suddenly ended it got me wondering.

This was released as a movie in red box, but is actually a web series. It was starting to get interesting, it was a nice take on the superhero genre. Hope they make more.

Aside from ending I didn't notice anything too weird about it. I just came on here to look up if Krysten Ritter had been in anything else before (seriously, how have I never heard of her before?) and I saw Woke Up Dead listed as a TV series and thought "WTF? Did they make a show as a sequel to the movie or something?" So I'm kind of curious to find out if anything was edited in the transition from web series to movie.

But yeah, that ending... They could've just left it at them talking about going out and finding / helping others like him, really. That would have been a decent enough ending right there. They could've saved the part with the mother for later to start off the next movie (or season or compilation, whatever).

As it is, it just leaves you with the feeling that it ended just as it was really getting interesting. (Not to say it wasn't interesting before the mom showed up. It's just that that was a lot of new information that they were starting to reveal there, and then it just ends.)
