Why the end it's so cruel? I hate it?

Why do they always had to kill at the end? Gay movies cannot have a happy end? Seems like a punishment for a forbidden love. They made that the nature or fate ruin one love so beautiful. If was a straight romance certainly Asia survive. I hate. Seriously i don't get.

Maybe Asia does survive. She does ride off into the sunset with Eloise at the penultimate scene of the film. Nobody actually says that Asia dies. It is merely implied in the last hospital scene, just as it is implied that Asia and Eloise make it in the end.
