Prison visitation like that? Nearest border?

Chiefly ... I really like realism in my movies, and wondered about the room in which the prisoners in the prison got visitors. Are there still visiting rooms like that in which the prisoners are so unsupervised and every word between them and their visitors doesn't go recorded?

Also, at the end, are Max and Joe headed toward the Canadian border? That would seem the logical step to me, even if they later flew to their favorite destinations.

I wanted to remark that the prison scenes in this movie seemed much more realistic than how they are typically portrayed in film. I'm sure they don't record conversations between visitors. They probably do record phone calls, but don't listen to them unless there is an actual ongoing investigation, because that would be a huge waste of time for law enforcement.

Felons can't visit felons in prison.
