Why the hell is the rating so low?
I thought this movie was so funny, one of the funniest comedies I've seen in a long time.

Sure the story is flat and the acting is bad, but it was just a simple, funny comedy that doesn't really need much thought, finally!

I thought it was funny as well. I know the acting was bad, but I think it was INTENTIONALLY bad. It reminded me of Romy and Michelle .. two funny ditzy blondes.
Not every movie has to be a serious affair

You answered your own question. That is the precise reason why it has such a low rating.

I wasn't expecting Shakespeare, but my god was this bad and boring.
