A lot of the show was based on experiences by the writers, Iain Morris, Damon Beesley

Problem was when their experiences ran out, that was it. If they brought in more writers who could add more ideas and Morris and Beesley could tweak these ideas to be intbetweeners style, the show could have lasted much longer

Look at Friends, that show had dozens of writers
