why does most UK movies show people living in slums?
In this movie, we see this guy sort of living in some sort of slums. The place is full of graffiti and vandalism. The place he stays are full of thugs and punks. And the gay guy he invited to his home even said the place is worth a fortune. An apartment in a bad neighborhood worth a fortune?
I am not referring specifically to this movie alone. Some of the other UK movies (usually low budget) also show these people living in similar neighborhood.
So my question is, is unemployment rate in UK (especially London) really that bad? Are the law in UK really that lax until youth can easily go rotten? Doing nothing whole day but hang around talk crap and bullying people and other bad stuffs?
