tell the midwife that the baby's mother was calling?
i apologize in advance if this has been addressed. however, i looked down the board & didn't see any titles referencing it. plus i missed appx the first 15 minutes...
with that said, creepy film! but for those saying don't watch if you're an expecting mom, c'mon rubbish. this should not be watched if you are looking for tips regarding motherhood. lol. it is complete fiction & extremely unrealistic. it's just twisted horror. at least give it credit for being original.

Because the midwife and the mother were lovers in the past, and she didn't want to help spark anything new from happening.

Me too. I also gathered that the midwife and her secretary also had something going or else the secretary wouldn't have been so secretive about the mom calling.

I think she must have had a crush on the midwife and been jealous. She knew the midwife liked Madeline, so she was trying to stop anything from starting up again.

I was really mad at her, actually, because the calls from Madeline were clearly emergency calls and it was like the assistant didn't even care if a mom and baby died! Twisted!
