for queen for country?

but the queen live in london! Surely shes been killed or is slowly dying of radiation!

reply

If the bombing was in the summer, which I would asume it was at it was planted at the Olympics, then the Queen would be in Balmoral, pluss the bomb was queit a few miles away form the centre, so they would have got the Royal Family out very quickly(or those that were not at the opening ceremony, which some would have been)

reply

But, wouldn't the queen be in attendance at something like the Olympics?

reply

Doubt it she will be 86 in 2012, and has already started to pass on some of her official duties to Charles and William (when he takes up official duties later this year). More likely that even if she is alive the duty would pass to Charles.

What would be amusing is if all the royal family had been there from the Queen to Prince Andrew (thinking line of Succession) and there was now a Queen Beatrice LOL

reply

So now we know the answer, she was indeed there, declaring the games open.

I'm an American and I watched the show. I do want to say that I enjoy it first of all. I've always seen the saying "for queen and country" as a saying that "to serve the country". It is possible that the queen did die in the attack and it is a saying to honor her memory.

The Queen is dead long live king.
but in the case of this load of rubbish the programme is dead and long may it be so!!!!!!
