So poor, on so many different levels.

The acting. The scene where an enlivened Commander Pike does the go/no go-- it felt like the first read-through of the script it was so bad.

And, I'm so tired of "the disgruntled astronaut." They did this in "Prometheus" too. The only way you get on a multi-billion dollar one-of-a-kind space shot is if you are supremely competent, work well with others, and do NOT have mental issues. In Star Trek and Deep Space 9, you can have psychos, not here. And a physically disabled person? No way. Plus, this disgruntled handicapped person is second in command??

Uh, also there's the issue of this being, apparently, a incomplete pilot for which there are no subsequent episodes.
