I thought the film was fine

I thought the film was fine - decent action scenes and the story was decent. In fact, having seen the original anime film, I'd say that this movie is vastly superior in terms of storytelling.

I should also say that the whole whitewashing debate is hilarious, but dumb at the same time - we live in a society where hetero characters are being turned gay to fit the liberal agenda, and no one complains. When they make a white person play a Japanese role, even with sufficient changes to the story to explain why this is so, liberals are crying murder - it really is hilarious.

I liked it. The action scenes were cool. I've never seen the anime so I had no expectations. I went to see it because two of my friends are fans of the anime and wanted to see it, so I went along. They were not that impressed, but thought it was visually nice.

Visually stunning and one of the most memorable movies i have seen for a while. I would say that it was just as memorable as Mad Max Fury Road and will probably be remembered as one of the best movies of 2010s

Dude... all I gotta say is if you think Mad Max: Fury Road is awesome, you need to watch it with a Dolby Atmos setup!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!! :D

Agreed - Movie was perfectly fine 👌 . I watched the original anime recently. Preferred this story's development ☺️ and satisfied with an entertaining movie.

People are way too nitpicky when it comes to watching movies nowadays like they are so highly intellectual that nothing considered "popular" nowadays is fit for their appreciation. Get over yourselves, people!!!

I thought it was really good, although I went in with low expectations. Things were simplified but I still thought it captured the essence of the anime.
