bad romance, bad math

I took a chance on this film partly because of the math aspect. I was a math whiz in school and I thought I might identify with the character. Unfortunately, the character was so out of touch with her emotions, I couldn't relate with her at all. Plus she wasn't even really good at math. She based important decisions on some meaningless averages that were not linked to successful outcomes. She might as well have been using numerology.

The romance fell flat because there was no chemistry between the leads. There was no reason to root for them other than for the fact that their families and friends had worked so hard on the wedding. They didn't even seem to miss each other after they split, so who cared if they got back together.

I'm like you, I stumbled upon it on TV and quickly looked it up here, sounded interesting with the math thing (I knew a girl who said you marry the 7th) and I talked once with Danica McKeller who is a math whiz, so it made me think of her...but so far...Yeah, the guy she married there is no connection and then now she just found a girl with her husband and SHE get's mad!?! No, she was wrong first, she should be more forgiving, but I guess this was meant to be a TV Mini-Series and run several episodes (or only 2 as listed here) so there had to be this Loves-me-loves-me-not back and forthing.

Loved her on Doctor Who though.
