Why just TV?
It is so high quality movie, i don't understand why that terrible Harry Potter goes to cinema, but Diskworld - not.
Maybe the book is much better, i never interested in the fantasy fiction, but now i definitely will buy his books.
I felt similarly.
I think this should've been an hour shorter and in cinemas instead of tv.
In the end it´s a money thing and who was fast enough to get the movie rights.
I wish, more hollywood stars would be like Vin Diesel, who is most known for the Fast and the furious, but who also finances stuff like the "Riddick" Franchise, where he controls that movies, comics, games and so on, are all good plus in the same storyline.
Or a guy like Zuckerberg or another "internet billionaire" who takes 1% of their money to finance such a movie
