erica-218 your clueless!!

Erica-218 posted a review of this film and I simply had to comment on a couple of things about that review. First she gives this film an absolute boatload of praise and actually suggests that this is a good film. Now I am not sure how many films Erica has seen but its clear she wouldn't know a quality film if it came up and bit her.

then she tried explaining to people that this isn't a rip off of Indiana Jones. She obviously has absolutely no understanding of just what The Asylum is and what they do as a movie studio. Ripping off films and taking advantage of such films popularity is all The Asylum does. Every single film The Asylum has ever made corresponds directly to a popular hollywood film. They have yet to do a single project where they actually create the source material from scratch, Just go to their website and look at their complete list of films. Most people will easily be able to match up each Asylum film with the Hollywood film that it was based on. Transformers, Pirates of the Caribbean, Cloverfield, I am Legend, and the list goes on and on and on and on.

So to say that The Asylum wasn't making a ripoff is really about the most inaccurate thing someone can say in regards to this company. All they make is rip offs, that's all they do. Hollywood has actually come up with a word for these kinds of films, they call them Mockbusters. Makes perfect sense since they only do this sort of thing with Blockbuster films. imo, its a disgrace to the entire film industry. Not only do I not waste my time watching such garbage, I also would never give them a single cent of my money. If however they actually made a film from the ground up including writing their own scripts that were not based on a preexisting story, well lets just say that I would be more than willing to give these guys another look. Until then I wont even consider watching another one of thier films and I highly recommend others follow suit. Trust me, in the end you will wish you could have the time you spent watching this garbage back.

As for Erica, she either works for the company, dates someone who works for the company or is utterly delusional. I don't claim to know which of the 3 is actually correct. I just know that no person in their right mind would actually try and argue that The Asylum doesn't rip off films. There are either ulterior motives at work or she is downright crazy. Either way she is dead wrong and you should avoid these films at all costs!! Just remember, I warned you.
