While I know that it is Australian production and that most of the cast are in fact Australians. Soren (Jim Strugess "English") has Australian accent and some other characters (mainly the younger ones), but I can't help the old and bad owls sound so London like :). For instance "Intimidator and Predator" line. Is it me or the bad owls have totally bad ass Cockney accents :D
It's just not funny. This phrase's been around for ages, only that instead of Australians there was English (which makes it a fact). I didn't feel any power out of that joke, it was poor, dry, an empty shell. It is very hard to define humour. I'd say that humour is mainly based on different perceptions, so sometimes seeing the same thing from a different perspective makes it funny. There are no guide lines for a good joke. I personally did not find it funny.
I can't believe I'm getting into yet another debate with some wanker troll who thinks his opinion has merit. It doesn't, at least for anybody but himself.
My little joke did not require any comment from you. You didn't find it funny? OK I can accept that with good grace but why on earth would you take the time to chastise someone you don't know, about it. You must really be desperate for some attention living under that bridge of yours. Well, now you have it. Are you satisfied?
Hey, and by the way, the troll is you. You trolled onto my thread!! I came here with a question! You replied to my question with some half assed statement that could not be distinguished if it's a joke or what, in either way absolutely useless to the question. If you at least bothered to elaborate on what was asked to be discussed. You are the TROLL!!
"Does that make you feel better?" —Does that make me feel better? Angry much?
Wiki definition of a troll:
"In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by trying to start arguments and upset people.[1]. They may do this by posting deliberately inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[4]"
I am not trying to start arguments or upset people. But I got annoyed with the pointless comment you left there. Next time I will go to someone's thread I'll at least have the decency of replying to the content. Perhaps I could have sparred myself of stating that your joke was poor, but in fact (in my opinion) it was so poor that I couldn't tell if it was a joke or you were being serious. All my offence to you was in fact that I said "it was a poor joke" YOU have called me "trolling wanker" and you last response "Does that make you feel better". Maybe you should also stop for a minute and think for a second about yourself, it might give you the answer as to why you always end up in arguments with trolls.
"You use wiki for dictionary definitions? No wonder you are so ignorant."
See THAT was trolling. What I did was pass a dry little comment. It wasn't meant to get a written response. It was just a little witticism. You didn't find it funny. OK. I got it already, you didn't understand the context. Probably due to the first line in this post, but since then you have carried on like a complete wanker and are still doing so. Shut up, for pity's sake. NO ONE CARES.
Your joke was funny. It's not innovative or original, since it's even used in Hispanic communities, but you weren't claiming it was. I genuinely laugh with your comment.
