I think I am about to shock you, so you'd best sit down. Sitting? OK, here goes....

Not everyone watches a tv show because someone is attractive or not. You are actually suggesting that an *actor*, based solely on their looks, attracts viewers to a show. Forget the writers, the peripheral characters or the very premise of the show, but that people think, oh, that person's hot, think I'll watch that show. That just not so.

To further stun you, many, if not most, viewers watched Caste because they were fans of Nathan Fillion. They liked his past characters, his self deprecating humor in interviews and his faces. Yeah, he makes impressive faces, it's part of something called acting. Stana was a relative unknown, but she brought something special to her character. People stayed for the chemistry between the two main characters, the banter between *all* of the characters and the premise: will they get together, or was it just a matter of when....

And as for being young or not, this is the worst news of all. You, too will one day no longer be young. Unless you plan on taking the advice of a very old song, "....die young; stay pretty...." Them's your alternatives, age (hopefully gracefully) or drop dead.

I watched because I loved the RELATIONSHIP as it was at the beginning. I thought Nathan was cute. I loved the attitude that he took. And I loved the personality he brought to the character. And, at ten years my junior, he IS young.

as for Kate, I thing her strength, and her weakness, brought heart to the character, and made her interesting to me.

Looks? yeah. They were both pleasant to look at, but that's not what interested me. Not important.

No offense, but that was really stupid. You should really think things out before your write stuff for the public to see. Not only is it not true that Nathan is ugly and boring, but people don't watch shows just for a character's looks. Nathan Fillion is the key reason why the show gained an audience in the first place.

I liked them both. Fair enough, Stana Katic had that appealing to the men good looks, but I can't really imagine anyone else playing Richard Castle better than Nathan Fillion. He had the rare chance to play more or less himself. In our brief meeting sometime ago, I remained under the impression that he is much like his character, or perhaps it is more accurate to say that the character has gained much of its qualities from the actor. Without either Katic or Fillion "Castle" wouldn't have had the same success.

I knew of Fillion, but he was basically as unknown to me as Katic. Like Spayer, it was their relationship (and chemistry) that got me hooked. Over time I grew to prefer Katic, and still do. I agree with Veselinasenov, the show was only made by the two together.

He wasn't young? Are 12 years old?

I don't know Nathan Fillion has more than ten years on me but I think he's cute. Not drop dead gorgeous, but cute. I love his hair and his eyes. Furthermore, I just think he has great presence. As a woman in her 30s I tend to find men in their 40s more attractive than men in their 20s. I just find them too young for me. I guess it's a matter of personal preference. Though, I think most Castle fans found him attractive. Just like I think most Castle fans especially the men found Katic quite beautiful. Though, since she was close to 40 at the end of the show probably some men thought she was getting to old to find attractive. As a general rule I think men find younger women attractive and women find older men attractive.. However, again it has a lot to do with personal preference. If you don't like Castle don't watch the show.
