Am I the only one? (spoiler)

I actually liked how it ended. It was kind of a downer, but rarely do prematurely cancelled series hae an ending like that. I guess we are supposed to assume Henry/Edward and Alfre Woodard's charcater get captured or killed in the confusion after the power gets shut off. And we also have to asssume Raymond/Tom's wife leaves him. This is better than some non-ending whichis what is to be expected from a series that lasted only 9 episodes. It almos made it like a mini-series! Thoughts?

I'm confused though b/c IMDB says there are 13 episodes? I thought it was going to wrap up nicely though and it kinda did at episode 9, much better than others, I agree!

If you read the other posts on this forum, I think you will find you are in a very small minority. Most fans are pissed and feel betrayed that the "ending" left everything hanging and unanswered. A real slap in the face to loyal viewers.

It wasn't the writers/directors/producers fault. From what I was told, they were told during the first day of shooting the ninth episode that that would be their last episode. They didn't have the time to do any rewrites or change the ending of THAT episode, therefore, the series.

So the writers intent was to not end the series like that, that episode was written with the intention of airing at least 4 more episodes. So it isn't their fault.

Having said that, I didn't even see that episode. I stopped watching after the 6th episode and I missed the 3rd episode. So i wouldn't call myself a loyal viewer.

No one is blaming the writers/directors/producers. The anger manifested in these posts is aimed at the network (NBC) for pulling the plug with no regard for the interests of the viewers, whom they so vigorously pursued with relentless promos.

i thought it was an interesting and better ending than the usual cancelled series... fans (like myself) are mostly pissed because ideally it would be an ongoing series however, compared to other series i've liked that have gotten cancelled, my own worst enemy ended in a more interesting almost 'artsy' fashion.

There is no ending here. The last aired show stops abruptly with several cliffhangers that obviously were meant to continue the story in a new direction for the next episode, but it ceased production. "Artsy fashion" is just your projection onto this.

See now that was helpful information. That makes sense and I just learned something! I didn't know IMDB put what was orderd and not what was made. Thanks

Yep, I gotta agree. There were a TON of dangling story arcs at the end of episode 9. NBC couldn't care less. Dumb stuff like "Dancing with the Stars" and "Biggest Loser" keep coming, but this goes away.

I hate TV. Thank God for the Internet.
