Your Theories (spoilers!)

What are you theories about who killed Tony and deleted the system?

I think its the doctor lady.

She was my first thought and then Turnbull came to mind.

reply

I think it is Trumbull, because he seems to know more then he lets on.

reply

Trumbull had this weird look on his face during the last misson. but Norah came to mind first, she had this soft spot for him or something, and really believed he had changed.

reply

Sadly it wont matter, its the same old story again for me ( Traveler show). However the only difference between that shows cancellation and this show is, with Traveler it had one of the key writers or something who actually was trying to save the show, and when the show could not be saved, he wrote a long report on how the show would have gone down. True, not as good as seeing it with suspense and time, but still you got the answers.

However, I think its probably not the Norah, I think thats the choice that most have, it probably is Trumbull, he had a look on his face that was over suspicious.

reply

I think it's Trumbull.
He had this look on his face throughout the entire episode.

Oh well, doesn't matter anymore.
Show's done.

How is this for a theory, maybe it was a third personality in Edward/Henry.

He took quite a few volts in this episode, in the tub and in the lab. The tech guy mentioned some unusual brain activity before he was killed.

What if all of this brought out a third personality?

Now here is a really big theory...what if both both Henry and Edward are manufactured memories for someone else? We saw that Raymond had a criminal past. What if they went to a mental hospital or death row, found someone and created both Henry and Edward as a way of getting the agent stuff done, give him the normal life with a family and buried the other guy deep in the subconscience of both as a way to control him and all the juice pryed him loose.

Depending on what he remembered, he would have access to the whole complex, could approach the tech guy easily, know enough to cover his tracks (if he was a murderer) and so on.

By fixing the switch, this guy would go away again so he needed to stop it. We already have a number of suspects who can take the blame.

My vote is for Trumbull.

He finally figured out what was happening.

His first response was what everyone feared - Edward/Henry's termination.

But then he decided that more could be learned from watching Edward/Henry in their current state. Probably because this situation is bringing information to light they can use in future versions.

Just My $0.02 ...

Maybe it was a third party that did it as Edward had a lot of enemies. Then they could watch Skinner, Trumbull. and Edward point fingers at each other and then take one of them out. Then after a few episodes they would reveal who it is. It beats the obvious.

"We have guided missiles and misguided men."

The third personality theory is one that had. I wondered from the beginning if they would go that route. I felt that could have been a possibility to who killed Tony and deleted the system. But one flaw with the theory. How would the third personality know to kill Tony and delete the system. Henry and Edward are unaware of each other's activites and Heny did not know about Edward's existence for the longest time. So for a third personality to emerge he would have to know everything Henry and Edward knew in order to know he would have to kill Tony to survive.

reply

I am intrigued by the third personality theory. Do you remember in the first episode when Henry remembered being in Paris? He remembered that Edward was at the hotel with a beautiful woman in that episode when the chip first malfunctioned. Maybe, initially a third personality would be able to know what Edward and Henry were doing.

I am still holding out hope for a come back. this show is too good to lose.

reply

I had forgotten about that. That would work. I do hope the show comes back in some format as well.

reply

When they asked if it was Edward and he said no I was thinking it wasn't Henry either though I didn't take it as far as you did. That would have been a good twist lol. With Raymond though he still only had two personalities.

reply

It's pointless to talk about it. It's canceled. It will never matter so everyone is right/wrong.

reply

<< It's pointless to talk about it. It's canceled. >>

There's always gotta be one buzzkill among the crowd.

My vote is for Skinner. I thought so at the time, and she makes the most sense, logically speaking.

But I also thought of another crazy theory: what if it was Henry? When Henry was told that the switch was, indeed, possible, he expressed a lot of regret, and seemed unhappy at the prospect of being 'fixed'. Of course, that would mean he pulled off one hell of an acting job when they found Tony, but Henry and Edward have been doing a lot of acting as each other lately. And it seems Henry has been a little more willing, a la Edward, to walk on the wild side lately.

I know. It's a crazy thought. But intriguing nonetheless. Would have been interesting to see where NBC took it.

reply

Hopefully, the storyline will be picked up in books.
I could see a series of novels, even comics, that take the story to the next level.

Did anyone think of this? Tony didn't want to fix Henry/Edward so he deleted the system himself then killed himself to make it look like someone else did it?

Its plausible but I doubt its right.

Yeah I thought they were going to reveal Henry was real and Edward was fake eventually. Or else the whole home movies episode didn't make much sense and was pretty pointless.

It doesn't makes sense for them to go to the extent that they planted an identical baseball glove from a birthday video in his closet? I mean, who would even keep that stuff as an adult? Why even give him a memory like that in the first place?

It doesn't make much sense.

And I don't think Trumbull killed Tony. That would be way too obvious for this show.

Trumbell because you can see that he was always looking at Mavis. He didn't fall for it when they tried to act like Edward wasn't broken. I just thought of it now though...it wouldn't make sense for him to not want Edward fixed so now I don't know who it could be.
