WHY MATT SMITH!?

Eva green is amazing and the story is amazing and the film looks great! but why ruin ti with matt smith?! I'm sorry but he can't act :/

reply

this is where that little 'imo' or 'imho' should be used. it's your opinion that matt smith cannot act. nothing more nor less. i disagree: imho (see what i did there?), matt smith is a very good actor.

To be honest this wasn't the right story for his first film. Maybe Dave Tennant could have suited this role.

reply

I don't think Tennant would have worked for the role. While Smiths performance may not have been award winning, he did a solid job, plus most of the focus was on Green's character anyways.

It is definitely your opinion that Matt Smith is a worthless piece of trash-- because I (as a human being with equal rights)-- say he is my favorite actor of all time. I think he's spectacular, beautiful, and he was the only reason I watched this movie in the first place. I think they cast him because he had chemistry with Eva. I think they cast him because he has a unique look. I think they cast him because he has a very interesting boy/man thing going on (or at least he did hen he was filming this about 3 years ago) -- He was great in this movie and he was great in Christopher and his Kind and Party Animals and of course--he is by FAR the best of the new Doctors on Doctor Who. This is, of course, my opinion, but-- you know-- I have to defend him because I really adore him.

Just had to be said.

Peace and pie,

Who said he was a worthless piece of trash?

I like Tennant, I find him versatile & very good as an actor but isn't he too old to play someone Green's age?

He doesn't look as young as he did in Doctor Who anymore.

disagree, you are completely wrong. Matt Smith is a worthless piece of trash with no talent. Its not an opinion, it a fact.

reply

Actually if you're judging his acting as a director, the performance was great and that is a fact.

reply

What gives you the right to personally attack an actor ? You may not like his acting. But your comment was quite uncalled for.

reply

I totally agree with the OP.

Eva Green was more than amazing in the movie! But I didn't like Matt Smith's acting at all. He ruined the movie for me.

reply

That was exactly my opinion!

reply

Because he's Dr. Who,and apparently this film has something to do with time-travelling...well not really, but close enough.

I understand this film was made before Matt got the Doctor Who role.

Its that man again!!

I thought he did a great job playing both the "child" and the "man."

Probably because you saw this after watching his run in Doctor Who. He is a brilliant actor and I did not felt any "The Doctor" feel in his role in this movie.

reply

I don't watch Dr Who, I think its awful, Ive seen clips and trailers and stuff and hes just terrible in that too lol

reply

You should watch David Tennant as Doctor Who, he is amazing, season 3 had so many great episodes & stories.

reply

Not only can't he act, he looks like a Neanderthal. Couldn't get over both watching the film. It was a good film though.
