It's one of the first scenes where Rebecca and Tommy are lying in bed in their underwear. Did I read too much into that scene or was it supposed to imply that they had sex?

Usually when a girl loses her virginity and bleeds it's because her hymen broke... However I'm pretty sure Rebecca no longer had one at this point since she did give birth and push a human being through there...

I think she was still a virgin, due to the fact that she had a c-section with Tommy 2.

Why? She did not have sex. She was fertilized artificially. I don't believe they use a phallic needle- if you'll pardon me for being blunt. And even if they did, I don't think that would constitute sex. Some girls have no hymen. So, the breaking of the hymen is not what makes a girl no longer a virgin. It is the act of sex itself- genital coitus with another person, i.e, the experience of sex.

As portrayed, it seems Rebecca was a virgin when she had sex with Tommy.

Therefore, she accomplished a virgin birth.

I agree, somewhat.

But the person I answered said that she would be a virgin due to having a c-section. If giving birth ruins your viginity, getting inseminated would too following that logic.

This isn't so. The needle to inseminate is too thin to stretch the hymen or vagina. It's the same as when a virgin gets a smear. She's still physically a virgin, despite the penetration.

It was quite clear Rebecca had a C-Section, so her hymen would still be intact.

They should have had the girl wearing more childish underwear but they showed their innocence by having them have a pillow fight right after.

Given how shocked she looks when he simply kisses her on the mouth after that, I seriously doubt they were implied to have had sex. However, I also got some weird vibes from that scene. I guess they wanted to balance incest and pedophilia equally in this movie so they had someone go in there and tug her panties a bit lower and then direct her to eat him up with her eyes. Then, let's follow up the scene with one of the girl undressing and then her watching and stroking her naked belly. Just to, you know, drive it home. Oh and let's show the bed scene again later, this time with her touching him.

But hey, this film made it into my top ten most fuⅽked up movies outside of Japan. Congratulations.

Not sure exactly what people you are referring to. I was also talking about the first scene of the movie. If I hadn't been talking about the time when they were kids, I wouldn't have been so disgruntled about the whole thing, would I?
