Just saw the film today and like Bong's other films it is a real grower. Just a few hours after the showing and my respect for this movie has continued to grow. It was beautiful, terrifying and tragic, not to mention absolutely hilarious.

Absolutely. I think Bong is one of the world's finest mainstream directors, and this film only cements that opinion. Once again, it's a masterful genre film that is also both hilariously off-center and deeply unsettling.
He never disappoints.
I agree, the mother figure was simply amazing, so human.
I can't wait for Bong's next project.
I just saw it and while I don't like it as much as Memories of Murder and The Host, it's really a terrific film and I will undoubtedly watch it multiple times.
The ending shot is really fantastic, one of the best I've seen this year.
