Where are the castle ruins?

While awaiting a train, Anna and Declan climb a hill to wander around in some castle ruins. Does anyone know where they are in real life?

reply

In somebody's CGI computer program. They are fictional.
If you want to see real Irish castles I suggest you google 'Irish castles'and select 'Images'

Well like the poster said the castle on the knock was CGI but they obviously shot the closeups in a real set of ruins. I don't know where they are but the Rock of Cashel looks somewhat similar to the idea they were trying to get across. http://www.google.ie/imgres?imgurl=http://www.fotaisland.ie/blog/wp-co ntent/uploads/rock-of-cashel_1_.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.fotaislan d.ie/blog/tag/rock-of-cashel/&h=194&w=259&sz=1&tbnid=Y TA5HxekfkkwwM:&tbnh=160&tbnw=213&zoom=1&usg=__ZLQVT1-M kvqIcS6efse2VjICleI=&docid=BdtMJ-WReVfUOM&itg=1&sa=X&e i=3k-MUo2fBOeJ7AbB6YCgCg&ved=0CKkBEPwdMAo

The castle ruins are beside the Rock of Dunamase in County Laois. They are slightly CGI enhanced but they're still recognisable!

Thank you!

It is Dunamase but don't expect the views that Anna and Declan experienced. Closest thing that I have seen in Ireland is on the Conor Pass on the way to Dingle.
