I kept mentally comparing this to The Matchmaker

I think Amy Adams was better than Janeane Garofalo.

However, the David Ohair was at least a belivable character. I never saw anything likeable in Mathew Goode.

The Matchmaker's local Irish characters were at also a cut above. Both movies even had stupid car accidents and the girl leaves her Irishman behind to find America empty without him.

Matchmaker was not a great movie, but I like it better than this one.

I love Amy Adams...feminine, lovely, graceful, and the sweetest voice. I just like watching her. (it doesn't make hubby mad, either)
This movie was a nice, light, predictable one, with stunning scenery. I enjoyed it.
