I've seen it twice now and it is definitely one of my Guilty Pleasures along with Overboard with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. I don't know why Matthew Goode said it was one of the worst films ever because it's just sweet and gentle and funny. It's a perfect Sunday afternoon's viewing on a cold and rainy day.

On Film 4 on Wednesday night 7pm in UK - Bake off can wait!! It is billed as a 'light and frothy rom com' - if you expect that then you'll enjoy it. Even my bloke will watch it - high praise for a rom com!

I agree. My mom enjoyed it as well and she can't speak English. I wish Matthew Goode would do more romcoms.

It starts off kind of slow, but does pick up along the way and Amy Adams is well nigh irresistible. The Irish scenery isn't too difficult to take either.🐭
