Other movies with the same storyline
What other movies do you know with the same storyline? I can think of "New in Town" and "Sweet Home Alabama"... any others?

sharei guessing that new movie "letters to Juliet" will be the same too
shareFrench Kiss...
I kept thinking this often as I was watching the movie..
This movie kind of reminded me of the proposal. They hate each other at the begining but by the end they're in love.
shareYep, part way through I told my wife the title of the movie should be "Irish Kiss" and she said she was thinking the same thing.
shareyes!
shareSome that haven't been mentioned yet (they have a few of the same themes, at least):
PS I Love You (thought of this one while watching Leap Year)
Unconditional Love
The Holiday
Under the Tuscan Sun
Before Sunrise
How can I be the first person to mention It Happened One Night? It's the exact same story, just a different setting. And of course this had more than a few things in common with Chasing Liberty.
I don't care about money. I just want to be wonderful. - Marilyn Monroe
I was thinking of It Happened One Night the whole way through. There were even really similar scenarios down to the two having to share a room...
Steph
Everyone should see It Happened One Night at least 5 times!
shareAlso Romancing the Stone and a few moments even reminded me of the Indian film Dilwale Dulhania la Jayenge

A few moments from DDLJ? Such as?

I see your points but it just doesn't feel the same!
shareThe Sure Thing, with John Cusack and Daphne Zuniga, is the only film I've seen that is similar to leap year (and I've seen a lot of the films in this thread.) Two high school students who can't stand each other find themselves sharing a long journey across the western US.
With your feet in the air and your head on the ground, try this sig with spinach!
Then you haven't seen "I Know Where I'm Going"!
shareHow about "The African Queen"? Movies about a man and a woman who can't stand each other for the first hour, then get close but without resolution, then fall head-over-heels in love in the final scenes, have been around since the Golden Age of Hollywood.
shareThe premise of the protagonists disliking each other at first is almost standard fare in romantic comedies. Having one of them traveling through Ireland as a foreigner is a bit different.

Any of the Corcodile Dundee movies would fit here: The flustered naive city chickie who falls for the goofy culturally-challenged hunk. Leftovers from a meals that was rancid to start with.
It reminded me of The Matchmaker.
