Great movie because of one thing which it did that I didn't expect...

at least to the extent in the movie and that was its scathing indictment of the national media more so in some respects than of the government or even the CIA (which of course deserves the criticism Webb levied at them). I mean, the media was just painted rough in this film-and rightly so. The ending credit bit where the CIA report was overshadowed by the Lewinsky scandal infuriated me.

Go to hell with your hypocrisy! I'm staying right here with humanity!

Which would also explain, why no big major media company bought the film for a widespread US cinematic distribution. They don't want to show something that makes them look bad.

You are right to be infuriated, because this type of thing happens all of the time.

We are so obsessed with pop culture, gossip and viral stories, that it often happens that while we are obsessing over the latest viral story, something real important is going down in our government that we are completely overlooking.

When such a story is dominating the news, be sure to look at the back pages for the story or stories that are more important.
