I was so waiting for the bad guy to get in his car and drive away. And then I wanted to see the burning building and hear ... RRRR RRRRR!! RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! (chainsaw!) They completely blew a clever escape idea in this film !!

Well if you look closely you'll notice the chainsaw has no chain so it isn't going to cut anything! Kinda like earlier when Lisbeth has a Baretta 92 she holds it close enough to the lens you can tell she's actually holding a prop gun.
shareIt was arguably easier for them to knock out a couple of panels and crawl through them rather than start mucking around with the chain saw in the middle of the burning barn.
