Are they going to have a second anime like with Fullmetal Alchemist?

If they do, rather than redoing the whole first half of the story in Soul Eater they should either spend a couple of episodes recapping the story up until the point that the anime and manga diverge and/or have a marathon of Soul Eater episodes up to the point that the two diverge and then only release new episodes from that point on wards.

Not that Soul Eater has a great story to begin with (it felt kinda weak as I watched it), but I suspect the way it will end in the manga will be more satisfactory than in the show. I'm reading the manga now and really all that's new is the intro of a third main villain, Noah. After him we finally see them fight the Kishin (sort of, manga's not done yet so we see fighting with other powerful kishin that he summons + Crona has some issues that need dealing with). The manga could have ended where the anime did if it didn't let so many villains go without explaining what will happen to them. Had they killed off Free (the werewolf), that Frog Witch and her mice friends and Mosquito too I would have been fine. But another anime, or at least a re-do of the story post-DWMA vs Aracnophobia on that snow island might be neccessary.

I don't mean to sound contradictory, because I do like Soul Eater in a guilty pleasure kind of way, and I'd like to see a second anime (or at least a redo of the last 2/3 of the story) since they did it with Fullmetal Alchemist, and one thing I really liked in the manga was Medusa's death, I found that as a shocker the way they dealt with her. And I have a feeling that the final fight with Asura won't be as cheesy as it was in the first anime. Maybe this second anime series will make me like Soul Eater even more, but until then it's pretty much Bleach for younger, hornier audiences.

Granted, everything I've seen of Bleach was later on, but it seemed really dumb. I found Soul Eater to be far more entertaining.

I heard Bleach is pretty derivative of Yu Yu Hakusho anyways
