higher score?

I don't know. I agree with the 8 IMDb gave it. It might have been a 10 if there were some changes to the show. For example, Excalibur. Sure he was kind of funny but all in all, he was just an unnecessary filler character. Also another issue was that by the ending there was just a lot of plot holes. For example, what ever happened to them collecting 99 souls and a whitch soul to become a death scythe? That's why I like the manga better. It doesn't have the *beep* ending of the show and has a lot more story, and it even gets to the point where soul becomes a death scythe. So In all I really did like the show and I think that the show does deserve the 8. You should read the manga, it's much better. than the show.
