When I first saw that ladies' heartthrob Ryan Gosling was starring in a movie called "First Man", I assumed it was about a female president of the US and her husband.

Actually, the first movie about the husband of a female president of the US was made in... [drum roll]… 1964!

Yes, there was a film called "Kisses For My President" in 1964, starring Polly Bergen as President McCloud, and Fred McMurray as her husband. I'm still waiting for it to happen in real life.
