The super-thin, long-haired father is decent man. It sucks he's addicted to meth because the viewer can tell he sincerely cares more for his family than the drug.
My father has been sober his entire life and he didn't give a crap for me. The meth father is by far a much better and understanding father. It's easy to slam him because he's a meth addict, but in the end, I can't help but notice that he is 10x the man my sober father was.

shareMy father was a stumbling total drunk. He also never missed a day of work, was a talented musician, and my sister and I never had a doubt that he loved us. We alwYs had plenty of food, new school clothes every year, summer vacations and attention, e en with his huge bar bills. Unfortunately, he ended up killing himself at 39, I'm sure partly because of the quilt. My mom was devastated because she had listened to other people about tough love and through him out of the house... Not all solutions work for everyone. I agree with the 1st poster. We felt his love through everything. RIP Daddy.
