if its meant to be kitt why does he sound different?

sounds same in series-KR2000.Or was Kitt just programmed with a different voice box? obv i know its spoken by a different actor but u know wat i mean lol

i can understand i being a new voicebox and a new car to fit in to new era but its no a remake as its set in right year and its Michael Knights son dont understand that bit?I agree old KITT was alot smarter and likeable

david[michael knight] did show up in 1 episode of the show its even in trailer on youtube he is talkin with Mike Traceur[his son]

This voice of Kitt was different than the others because it was a different actor.

I guess because the voice of the old KITT sounded fey, to me at least. The new KITT sounded manly, sure, but why did he go around stalking Mike when the latter went on dates? Nevertheless, like the other posters here, yes I found that the old KITT was more capable of intelligent conversation and seemed self-motivated.
