If you look on the main website theres no sign of it in the shows listed.Just bionic woman all over again NBC wont have the balls to come out and say yes its cancelled.TThey will just leave it and hope people forget.If it was brought back i bet by the end of series 2 it would have built up a good regular fan base.NBC have annouced some of the shows for the new season Knight Rider wasnt one of them.After all the rubbish that went on with knight rider like rearranging episodes cutting the episode order you would think they would just annouce it and get it over with but no like some one else said they like to mess with the fans.

I wouldn't at all be surprised if they canceled it.

They've gone too far with the tech-stuff.
Sure, it "would" be cool, if it actually could do all those stuff that K.I.T.T. does, but it's just not viable. Then there's the camera-angles that drives me nuts. For instance, the episode S01E06, where K.I.T.T. shows them his favorite memories, the playback shows (DUH!!! So laaaaame!!!) from another angle, just as if there'd been another (Like wireless) camera in front of him. Or just the surveillance-thingie that shows things from impossible angles. WTF!?!!

Most of the stuff are just plain absurd. They've probably gotten a lot of bad criticism for most of the episodes.
I wish that the makers could quit treating us viewers as complete morons.
That nano-skin that covers K.I.T.T. for one... Sure, in a rudimentary shape I can go for it, but with the morphing and adding stuff (Like rocket-launchers from out of nowhere) just doesn't make any sense.
Sure it looks cool, but that's just about it.
For a show to be successful, it must be believable else it's doomed to fail.

It's not far from the Automan-series. But that's from another time where computers barely were more competent than a calculator or a "word processor".
That I can allow, so to speak. That was then, this is now, where we do have quite advanced technology, there are a lot that's just not viable.

Another thing that threw me off, good, was that same episode where the, what-they-call-it, center(?) were downloading stuff from his "memory" (They could have come up with something better to call it), and the part where K.I.T.T. say "Downloading now". My thought was immediately "WTF!?!!". Why do they always do this fat mistake..?

Every other person these days have access to the Internet, and they make damn sure they get what they pay for, in order of Download- Vs. Upload-rate. Then it kinda says it self. If you're sending something, it upload, or receiving it's downloading.
I'm surprised (No, not really, considering the series-crew, and bad writing!) that K.I.T.T. wouldn't know that difference since he's so keen to point out errors done semantically otherwise.

Many series does these kinds of mistakes. Are the technical consultants stupid or what the hell is going on..?

nobody ever really liked the show, it sucked, the cinematogrophay sucked, the story sucked, the acting sucked.

Everything about this show was cheesy and nobody even really liked it, even the critics hated it and the ratings for the show were horrible.

I didn't like it.Way too much CGI,Val Kilmer was boring,it also served as an hour long Ford promo,......I could go on and on about what was wrong with it.I'm glad NBC decided to let it go.Even if they reworked it again for next season,it would be too late.The damage has already been done.They almost totally ruined the legacy of the original.

Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental

in that case...EVERYONE loved knight rider 2008, everyone!, even barack obama recorded it to watch in the whitehouse...i dont have any proof or figures to back that up, but apparently i dont need them, because i liked it so that qualifies me to say EVERYONE liked it...

Is this show canceled. They are showing on the news what NBC canceled and this show isn't mentioned either way. What's the deal. I felt the reboot or as some would say the way it should have really gone should have a chance.

This show was pretty nice for its target audience I think. Some people need to accept that they are too old to let go and fuly enjoy this show in its new form. This jumping on the "is bad because it doesn't tickle me like 25 years ago" bandwagon is just sad and unnecessary. Most of the negative and supposedly assertive posts are the result of just that.

For what it's worth (not much), I'm in the UK and so far have seen the pilot, plus the 1st 2 episodes. I guess I'm in the minority, but I'm a fan of the original show, and I love this too! Sure, the transforming thing is a bit daft, but whoever watched Knight Rider for realism?! It's got the same cheesy charm as the original, and that's fine for me. Not every show has to be gritty and realistic - it's OK to shut your brain off and just have some fun for an hour!

Shame it's cancelled as from what I've seen so far it's got great potential.

You guys can not blame a Tv series becasue it had flows. Gary Scott was the real target to blame and he lost his chance to get it right. So why blame a Tv organazation for this when the real one is Gary he even killed his other show too.

bite your tounge, the only thing worse than a Uwe Boll movie is watching your own autopsy. I am one of the minority, I liked this show, if they moved it to SciFi it would have done well with it...it saved Stargate SG1 and even got it goign so well it spawned two movies and a spin off

Stargate actually has another spin off on the way.

But on topic, I really enjoyed this show, some parts of it were kinda messed up in my opinion, like KITT turning into a pickup truck and random machine guns popping out of his hood, but despite the flaws I found in it, I still loved watching it and I am sad to see it go.

Aint that always the frecking way. You just get into a new series of something and then they bloody cancel it because of ratings. It's not fair to us the viewers just as we start to like or enjoy a programme, they shut it down/off. Just cause a lot of people didn't watch it. have they even fathomed that hardly anyone would know about it or that some people tape it instead of watching it 'live' I hate you NBC and i'm not even American. I'm from the UK, cant you bleeding companies think about other watchers not just people in the USA?

The original was well acted!??!??! David Hasselhoff...well acted...yeah OK.

I love how people talk about the legacy of KR like it was the best show in history...Did you forget the corny model KITTs jumping stuff. The way he bounced around on landing you could tell it was a model. The original was baaad, horribly acted, and unbeliveable. BUT...BUT it was entertaining!! I loved the original Knight Rider. Even though it was very corny...I love the Dukes of Hazzard also...another corny badly acted show. BUT it was entertaining

I very much enjoyed the new Knight Rider, even though the morphing was totally unbelieveable, but most of what KITT in the 80s did was unbeliveable. If IMDB had been around back then I can only imagine what this board would have said back in 1982 when the first talking car came out...

Come on people...it's a TV show, that people watch for entertainment...like I've said before if TV shows were believeable no one would watch...

Think about it..the last time you went to the ER...were ALL the doctors/nurses, really that hot and all under 30 years old??

How many real life CSI's show up to crime scenes in high heels and showing that much cleavage??

Can you imagine a Vegas hotel/casino being ran by someone that young. Danny McCoy couldn't have even been 30!

I'm sure that all Private Investigators in Hawaii run around in a Ferrari

Just like detectives in Miami drive Ferraris also...

Have you noticed that all the CSI shows, solve the crime in one day... I hear on the news when a body is found, they say autopsy results won't be in for 2-3 weeks or so..

But all those shows are ENTERTAINING. If it was realistic would we watch...

We don't want to watch a hospital show about old fat, grouchy nurses that mis-treat their patients.

Get a life people....if you don't like show, don't watch it and don't complain about on the internet.

I don't troll around on boards of shows I don't like or watch telling the people that do like that show, how horrible it is, or technical mistakes they made, and how it's the worst show on TV, and it should be cancelled. Fans should be able to read posts and enjoy talking to other people that enjoy the show also.

That's the best post I've read for a while!

I loved the original KR, and I love this new one too. I love the cheeky and cheesy charm of this new version. In fact I think part of the reason I like it so much is because it has that same charm as the original. And yet people on here talk about the original like some sacred thing that was absolutely superb and without any flaws...

The only thing about this new KR that bothers me a bit is the transforming thing, which is a bit daft, but hey, it's Knight Rider FFS!!! The people who complain about it being unrealistic seem perfectly able to accept turbo boost, ski mode, super pursuit mode as normal and real?!

Gutted that it's been cancelled, as I was gutted that Bionic Woman was cancelled as I loved that show too. It just seems to me that execs are too quick to cancel shows now instead of letting them build a fanbase. I believe that Bionic Woman could really have built on it's start and been a good show for a few years, and the same with Knight Rider.

Fortunately I'm in the UK, and we're only about 6-7 episodes in, so I've got plenty more to look forward to. Can't wait to see them all, but will be gutted when the last one airs.

Come on Sci-Fi channel, get some more episodes comissioned!

I don't know why you are angry. This show was terrible. If you were a fan of Knight Rider you would have had problems with this farce. Just slapping the name Knight Rider on anything doesn't make it live up to the name.

so you wanted them to take the original scripts and a 1982 trans am, and just re-make them with new actors.

yes it was bad compared to the original, but when you really take a hard look at the two...the original was bad...the acting wasn't all that great. totally unbeliveable..the special effects ( in later seasons, at least in the beginning KITT made some small jumps) with that model KITT jumping over HUGE stuff, and then how you could see it bouncing all over the place when it landed.

But I go back to what TV is all about.

ENTERTAINMENT!!

If you are not entertained by something...turn it off, don't complain and shut the &^%$ up

this show did have its moments in the beginning but when it had that big change when everybody left and it was just Sarah,Billy,Mike,Zoey and Kitt it got better and it was just more interesting and I watched all the episodes and they took the old series and made it a future show and i read this one blog were this guy said that it was all so unrealistic but I like shows that are Unrealistic because i can't turn the Televison with out seeing reality show on almost every channel I find that people like show that they don't see every day it make's you escape the worlds and go into another well that's what I think and this show does deserve a Second Chance because if I have to Watch reality show Instead of this I'm reading a book.And why bring a show back then take it off in one season NBC should have one more season and see if that does any better it might be more popular

i really wanted to give this show a chance but i just thought the writing was absolute crap. i thought there was going to be a decent storyline to follow, but they made the style and flavour so specific that it just slowly edged everyone out. even the car enthusiasts wouldn't touch it if they are like my dad and hate Fords. he loved old KR but that's when they were using a GM. i was indifferent but just couldn't get into all the lovey dovey car shots that are supposed to be like car porn and make everyone wish they could have a ride! it got old. they could have developed the secondary characters plots better, then maybe i would have stuck around.

Personally i didnt like the show for a one of reason. The original was good old cheesy fun. This version is just plain boring. Not to mention that theres some major plot holes between this version and the original. The original said nothing about him having a son or a wife. Only a girl who he was going to married before in accident. She was later killed.
