New SCRIPT-STORY for Knight Rider
Ok, this is my take on how I would make knight rider. I know it’s long, but it’s a summary of how I would make the first episode. So, here it goes:
We have a guy, let's name him Alex. Alex is a good looking man in his 30's, but he is good looking not because of his perfect body or his perfect teeth, but rather because of his way of doing things, the way he talks, the way he smiles, the way he moves etc. Alex is working in a Fast Food restaurant and one afternoon he finds himself serving a group of young women who are from families that own a lot of money. They have that “bitchy” behavior of judging everyone, like they are above everyone else. Among them there is a 25 year old girl who is different from the rest. The girls start picking on Alex about his work and are making fun of him while he is taking their order. Unfortunately Alex, although he is a quite social person, when he is around that particular girl he feels quite unease. Bringing the girls their order he spills their drinks and while everyone is laughing at him, the girl who is different from the others is helping him telling him that these things happen, and it’s not a big deal.
Alex is going home after his shift and he attends to his mother who has terminal cancer and the only thing that’s keeping her alive and well is the special treatments that are extremely costly, the cost could only be afforded by a very wealthy man. We also find out that his father has passed away when he was a child and he never knew him.
As the darkness arrives, late at night Alex is going for his second work, a work that provides for his mother. Alex is a thief and he is a member of 7 people group. They start working on this new job that involves a great load of cash for them but it’s a bit tricky. They need to steal a prototype car inside a heavily secured facility. They lay down the plans and we find out that Alex has a strategic mind finding all the flaws in their strategy and he’s suggesting new ideas. He knows that what he’s doing is wrong but he doesn’t have a choice, is either that, or the immediate decline in his mother health and ultimately her death.
We then go into a technologically advanced facility, where there is a person sitting in his office. Let’s call him “Mr Maison”. There is a knock on his door and mr Maison is accepting the guests. There are two people at the door, coming inside the room with a military arrogance. One is a General and the other is a heavily trained, muscle buffed soldier. The General informs mr Maison that the soldier is the subject he requested. Mr Maison replies that there was a program that involved a very advanced artificial intelligence chip back in the 80’s called KITT and it’s mainframe was installed inside a car, aided with technology from that era. “We recreated that chip, but although we tried installing it to other mainframes, it seems that the only mainframe that the chip can function successfully is inside of a car”. “What’s so special about that artificial chip? We have created artificial chips decades more advanced than what we did back the 80’s” the General asks. Mr Maison replies “This chip is unique, because besides it’s advanced computation capabilities that we have enhanced with our technology, this chip has something that we cannot recreate with our current technology… Creativity... You know, our AI can solve a complex mathematic problem ,but it cannot find it’s way out of a room if we don’t program the exact route. That chip can be as creative as human thus being able to solve complex everyday problems, even evolving a personality”. The General asks how is it possible that back in the 80’s we had such advanced technology, but Mr Maison replies that this is way above his clearance. Mr Maison continues: “We have taken this into a whole new level. We will bind the chip biochemically with the human brain expanding it’s capabilities, using the brain cells as processing power. This will go both ways, for the user and for the mainframe. We expect a bind that goes beyond the limits of human perception, that’s why we need your soldier”.
We go back to Alex where we find out that the facility that they are going to robe and the facility that mr Maison is located, are one and the same. They go in, but they quickly find out that they have been framed. All of Alex’s associates are either gunned down or taken away. Alex is the only one left in a dead end, in front of a heavily secured door. Alex is hearing the security personnel coming for him as he walks backwards, towards the door at the end of the dead end. He is nervous, he knows that these are his last seconds on earth, but suddenly a scanner initiates, accepts his bio signature and the heavily secured door is opened. Alex quickly goes inside, the door closes behind him and he finds himself into a huge area with a lot of technology. Inside there a scientist. The scientist is baffled as why the door accepted his clearance and he decides to look his bio signature himself. He is contempt with his findings, he doesn’t tell us why but he immediately guides Alex to a car. It’s the same prototype that Alex went to steal. The scientist sends him into a room to get the keys, but the door closes, gas is released, Alex is strapped with tubes in his body and he fades out. He sees images of the previous owner of KITT, images of the universe and other. He wakes up after some time, the door is open and he finds the scientist. He asks him what he did to him and the scientist replies that he gave him the keys to the car. Unfortunately they don’t have a lot of time, since the security has breached the main door. The scientist explains to him that this is more than a car and that they are bound to each other, connected. Alex quickly goes into the car, while the security has surrounded the car. They start shooting but the car is bullet proof. Alex starts the engine, but the car is initializing. Information starts pouring on the windshield. After a while the engine starts and Alex finds himself quickly through the wall outside the facility. All the time the windshield writes “Initializing…”
Alex finds out that suddenly has crazy abilities as driver. He decides to go after the man who set him up. He even crosses the girl that he saw in the Fast Food restaurant while he was chased after. He finally finds the man, and the man tells him that he chose him on purpose, because of his blood. He loses the man, he exits the building. He is hurt and it’s raining. The car is outside, the windshield no longer writes “Initializing”, and as soon as Alex approaches it, it speaks: “Hello Michael”.

Why did the door open?Why did the scientist took him to the car? Where does KITT comes from? What's it's purpose? We would also see a team behind Alex, chasing bad guys, having health problems from his binding with KITT, love triangle between the girl from the restaurant and a girl from his team, new abilities for him and the car, costs of these abilities and the end for him and his car.
