'Beware the Batman' Coming 2013 to Cartoon Network

Sam Register confirmed the title of the next animated Batman series, due in 2013. The next Batman animated series, debuting in 2013, is titled Beware the Batman. According to Register, the CGI animated series will spotlight a classic-looking Batman teaming up with a gun-toting Alfred Pennyworth and a female ninja sidekick. Check out more here:

The female ninja is Katana (better known as one of the Outsiders). The story also includes news about Cartoon Network's new DC Nation programming block.

Flat-headed Batman.
Squishy-faced Katana wearing a costume similar to Nightwing.
Gun-toting Alfred. (yes, I know he's held arms before in the comics, but doing so along Batman?)
And how is Bats supposed to keep up identity a secret when his sidekick is Bruce Wayne's butler?!?

Not to mention I'm petered out on Batman toons.

Bleah. I know this is early concept art, but color me unimpressed so far. I like the inclusion of Morrison's Bat-baddies (although Pyg is really gonna be toned down) and the rest of DC Nation looks good. Oh well, here's hoping it ends up decent.

Alfred actually getting in on some of the action sounds pretty awesome, but not with firearms (kinda clashes too much with the Bat-ethic).

The picture alone makes me hate the show the artwork is absolutely atrocious Batman looks terrible. The villains also look so idiotic Batman does not need new "original" villains we want Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, Freeze, Bane, and all the rest. Not some guy in a pig mask, a chameleon man, and some white haired chick. Lastly what the hell is with Alfred ALFRED doing running around with Batman using guns. Batman absolutely hates guns it has been that way for decades. Alfred knows Batman's hatred of guns and wouldn't openly use guns like that. Also as has been said before Alfred is Bruce Wayne's butler people would see him running around with Batman and say he is Bruce Wayne.

They ended Batman Brave and the Bold to air this piece of crap an original show paying homage to the Golden Age of comics showcasing classic DC characters introducing them to modern fans. Showing the greatness of comic book legends like Jack Kirby and others. With great writing and actors that was funny while silly it was part of it's charm. Thanks to all the idiotic people out there who bitched about "silly childish Batman we want dark brooding Batman." You got your wish go suck on your piece of crap new show.

Everyone's writing this off based on one picture!?! This is the same crap that people cried about when Brave & The Bold's first image was released, and when "The Batman" was announced. Every time a new Batman show is announced, people cry and complain. It's ridiculous. NEVER write off a DC show until it airs.

The main reason everyone is writing off this show from one picture is for a few reasons one the artwork is atrocious Batman looks terrible. Another thing most people are unhappy with is the sidekick Katana who does not have a deep connection with Batman most if they decided not to go with one of the Robins or Barbara Gordon wanted Cassandra Cain was who most people would want because she has some really good stories they could have worked off of. Last but not least that burns me most of all and most people is Alfred. Alfred Batman's surrogate father who raised him after his parents were gunned down in that alley is dual wielding some pistols and packing heat. Alfred who knows Batman's hatred for guns is going out on missions to put caps in those punks asses. That is such an insult to that character to change him so drastically to make him more relevant or something just *beep* *beep* all those stupid kids who do not understand Alfred's importance to Batman and think he is stupid so he needs to start going out lock and loaded. Also one last thing Alfred going out on missions with Batman tells the entire world that Batman is Bruce Wayne.

Everything I've seen and read about this seems like crap to me. How boring is it going to be with lame, lesser known villains. Katana? Come on. We need a new Superman series anyway. Possibly even a live-action Batman series.

Yea like other people said Batman HATES guns so i dont understand why he would let Alfred use them against criminals.
Batman is also supposed to try to avoid getting the bad guys killed at all cost but if Alfred shoots at them is there not a big chance he could hit one of them and kill them?

And i hate CGI so thats another big reason why i so far dont like this show very much.
I want normal 2D animation because it got way more personality and charm than CGI ever will.

Im a huge batman fan so hopefully it will be much better than it seems right now when it starts in 2013.
Really hope it will finally be a dark and serious Batman show again like Batman the Animated series.

I'm unusually excited about this largely due to the use of under used villians Mr freeze was a joke before the animated series lets see how new villians flair
