Mitefall: a great finale!

Triple-shark jumping, Bat-shorts, canned laughter, Darkseid scooping punch, freakin' John Wilkes Boom... yep, this gave Epilogue a run for its money as an animated DC finale. Oh, I'm serious all right. And that 'goodnight' from all the characters really brings something in your eye.

Salutes, BATB. Your first few episodes started as straightforward romps, but became more and more fun in tone, filled with obscure characters finally getting their due (Detective Chimp! Ten-Eyed Man!), creative casting choices (Jeffrey 'Re-animator' Combs at Z-lister Kite-Man) and those occasional moments of pathos pulled off in a show that features exploding ghost pirate ships. Its stands on the same level as TAS for me. Hard to believe it's only been 3 years since it debuted, I keep thinking there's less than 65 episodes.

I don't suppose we could have 'The Currys Of Atlantis' for real? Just a pipe dream. Ah well, here's to Beware The Batman possibly being decent. And a Season 2 vol. 2 and Season 3 DVD, complete with Matches Malone, harmless finger-gesturing included.

Yippee-ki-yay, pastel-colored resistance!

I'm a fan of the darker Batman stories.
So, when I first heard about this show, I was gagging.
But then something happened along the way and I've come to enjoy (and even anticipate) each episode.

This ending was ... Perfect.

Ted McGinley ... Priceless!

I too was initially resistant to this show. My 8 year son loved it and I became hooked. I hated the off-weeks and off-season. I hadn't heard it was ending, I was confused and sad as I saw it to be true.

DB did a great job as Batman. McGinley was tongue in cheek and I read on another board post that Ambush Bug was voiced by "Mr Jump the Shark" himself, Henry Winkler.

Classic ending for a great show.

I agree it was a great ending but Epilogue wasn't the JL finale. It ended season 4 (season 2 of JLU) after the cadmus arc. The series finale was Destroyer which I think was much better than Mitefall.

Oh ok. I understand why people would think of it as a BB finale but I just see it as a end to cadmus arc and a nice part of the overall DCAU srories

I never cared too much for this series altogether but I think this finale was a stroke of genius. Henry "The Fonz" Winkler as Ambush Bug and Ted McGinley, who was also on post-shark jump episodes of Happy Days (he was Ron Howard's replacement). Now that its over I may check out past episodes that I missed.

Very original and refreshing to see a show point out all the reasons for it being cancelled. I salute the creators.
