It was such a love letter to the Silver Age of DC Comics and easily better than shows like The Batman and Beware The Batman. It also had a ton of style and humour.
Personally, this is second only to Justice League, which also homages a ton of classic comics.
Good to hear an actual fan of this show. But to be fair, many of who hate the show hate the Silver Age version. But this show actually plays Batman pretty straight. The situations are absurd but Batman himself isn't played for a naive fool. And the show could actually get quite dark.
But yeah, many people prefer the grittier Batman. But if they took the time to watch the show and understood where it came from, they'd get the appeal of it.
But they don't have the Silver Age for any legitimate reason. They hate it because they're not at all familiar with it. But Brave and the Bold isn't about the Silver Age, it's about Batman fighting a wide variety of villains and teaming up with a lot of different heroes many of which are still written about today. Gorilla Grodd, The Metal Men, it's just a way for Batman to go up against them to appease the audience with the "proper context".
If you pirate media, you do not get to have an opinion on it.

If you take it for what it is, and you said in your op, its ok and very entertaining. People have compared it to ultimate spider-man in tone...I don't see that, usm comes across as childish where as brave and the bold revels in its style.
I'm a comic fan and I loved it. Of course, I also experienced many different eras of Batman in the comics and elsewhere. Batman was never wholly grim and gritty, even in the O'Neil/Adams years. he wasn't a total joke when the tv show was on. There were variations. I wouldn't say the show harkens back to the Silver Age, as much as it has fun with things. heck, a lot of what you see on there is Bronze Age, and there is some Modern Age stuff, in terms of characters, like the Giffen/DeMattis/Maguire Justice League. There's plenty of Kirby, which makes me happy, and they had Detective Chimp! Ambush Bug! It was a fun romp through the various corners of DC publishing history.
Fortunately, Ah keep mah feathers numbered for just such an emergency!
I'm a casual comics fan and I loved this show for its humor, mythology gags and for giving screen time to other DC characters. It's a great show to unwind with.
