Most unrealistic throat-cutting ever (spoiler)

I've only seen the R-rated version, but the special effects in that scene are terrible. Who reaches for a gaping neck wound with clenched fists?! Hardy's hands are clearing holding blood bags or a bloody sponge or something when he reaches for his neck... with his fingers clenched. Then he squeezes his hands and blood oozes from between his fingers, opening his hands once they're actually on his neck, and then WIPES HIS HANDS on his neck awkwardly to make it look more bloody. A fall to the floor, again with clenched fists hiding blood bags, and we once again see him squeezing his fingers so the blood runs between his fingers. WTH?

Die Hard 2 did a far more convincing throat-cutting - in 1990.

Totally agree , it was a great hardy job ... again

As long as it gets across what's supposed to have happened, I don't care.

He knew what was happening to him. He's been through WW1, he knows to clench his neck to slow the blood flow. This is surprisingly accurate from a medical standpoint, if you get your neck sliced, you better start compressing the wound closed in order to slow bleeding.

This is what he did. Sorry that this wasn't transformers.

Forrest never went thru ww1. He was born in 1901. He was too young. Howard who was born in 1898 did serve in ww1

Read the facts mate there was literally 1000s of boy ( underage ) soldiers 13 14 15 16 etc , some even shot for desertion , so yeah he could've theoretically served
