did you notice or care??

someone posted a topic about j-lo's family being all white. just to get to the point, i was so into the movie i didn't notice or care one bit. just like when i was growing up i didn't know the people in la bamba were mexican...i didn't care. a movie is just about loving and watching the movie. they had what is called a casting call...maybe the hispanic actors(if any) didn't make it.

just enjoy the movie and get past all of these pre-disposed race politics that have been put on us for the past hundreds of years. time to move on people!

reply

I did notice and simply assumed she was mixed-race.

reply

Yeah I just assumed she was mixed too. And her mother wasn't... white? She just looked like a light-skinned Latino to me. Which makes sense, because J-Lo is light-skinned too. Didn't really matter to me.

reply

I didn't notice either but she could be mixed or adopted

I hadn't realized that was Linda Lavin....I don't think I've seen her since "Alice." I did suspect that was Tom Bosley though.

reply

mixed race? and what would that mixed race be? Tan and White? Seriously... Hispanic is not a race and you don't have to be ADOPTED to be a WHITE Hispanic. Just go to Colombia or Argentina or Venezuela or Brazil. My God, how ignorant.

reply

I didn't even notice until reading this board, but if you thought the comment was so stupid, why make a new thread about it? It was a legitimate point... has nothing to do with race or politics. Get off your high horse already!

reply

yes I just assumed she was of mixed race also....we never did see a picture of her father so...

reply

All I noticed, when she went into labor, is that she was in the back seat with Alice and Mr. C
